WEFTEC

WEFTEC, the Water Environment Federation (WEF)’s Technical Exhibition and Conference, is the largest annual water quality exhibition in North America and offers water quality professionals the best water quality education and training available. In 2023, WEF committed to certifying WEFTEC as a sustainable event through the Event Industry Council in alignment with their mission.

Honeycomb Strategies collaborated with WEF to coordinate efforts between the event team, vendors, and certifying agent. We provided guidance, shared best practices, and developed programs that earned WEFTEC an impressive Gold Level certification of the Event Industry Council’s Sustainable Event Standards in 2023. Building on the systems we’ve established; WEF went on to achieve Platinum certification in 2025.
